Matchmaker.com-The Secret of Their Success
It may have once been the title of a quirky Michael J. Fox film, but "The Secret of Success" for many happy couple's today began with Matchmaker.com and Date.com. The dating giant continuously finds ways to bring together soul mates separated by oceans.
Mia72 and Jrh019:
Take Mia72 and Jrh019 for instance. Mia and Jr first made contact with each other in January of 2002. Ironically, they both sent each other e-mails of interest. Since neither were Gold Members, they weren't able to make any contact beyond the usual smiling and flirting:
"We were both trying our luck to see if we could find the right person."
Finally the pair signed up for gold and began exchanging e-mails consistently. "One February morning, I checked my e-mail to find that James had signed up as a Gold Member." Mia was the first to have issues surrounding the new couple's long distance. She was in the Philippines, Jr was in San Diego.
That all changed in the Fall of 2002. After seven months of frequent chatting, online and by phone, Jr decided to travel to the Philippines to meet Mia. Mia and Jr fell in love in an instant, and married within one week of meeting. The happy couple now shares more than just instant messengers, they are share a life together in their San Diego apartment.

AO joined Date.com in March 2003. Of course, he didn't take it seriously at first. That was until he grew tired of being just another country boy living in rural Kansas. He decided to really give DC, and set out on a search-literally-for his soul mate.
AO put in all the characteristics that he was looking for in a partner and up popped Olga. So he contacted her. The two hit it off and corresponded back and forth for months before AO finally made the trek to Olga's native, Ukraine. One year later, the woman from Ukraine and the man who never cared about relationships were married on Valentine's Day.
Annasattic and Davisjo228:
Davis is originally from Pensacola, Florida. He was living there when he first joined Date.com. Davis remembers searching for something entirely different, but somehow he ended up on Anna's page. She lived in New Jersey.
He didn't want to get involved in a long distance relationship, but something wouldn't let him leave her page. Davis and Anna met a week later. They still remember that first meeting at the Pensacola Airport; within minutes they were holding hands and talking like old friends. Fortunately, they became more than that.
Davis and Anna are now the happily married parents of a son. The family lives in New Jersey.
